Radiation treatment

The one of the most common treatment for the cancer tumors is the radiation therapy this helps in slow down the growth of the tumors. When the person goes for the radiation therapy often they could get some effects on them, the acute side effects are the damage of the epithelial cells, and it depends on the area of the skin its being treated. The next one is that when the head is treated they get the sore mouth and throat. They could get some wounds and the ulceration in the mouth that affects them in swallowing the food or water. When the intestinal parts are treated they could get the diarrhea and nausea. Some people could get swelling of their soft tissues due to the radiation. The late side effects of the radiation therapy are that the fibrosis that is the tissues, the dryness is the next one that is found in the salivary glands. The next one is the lymphedema the other kind of the tissue swelling. Thus when once the people get the radiation therapy they could find some side effects in the early stage of their radiation or in the later part of the radiation.
